STRAIGHT TO EDGE FRAMING
Very self-explanatory, the artwork is framed to the edge of the frame profile, with a clear, white or black spacer separating the artwork from the glass.
The frame is taped up, then a wire is attached to the back for easy hanging.

MATTED BOARDER
Matting adds extra size, space and presence to an artwork.
We match the closest tone of matboard to the paper colour (if it is visible) or use a complementary matboard to create a border around your artwork.
The matboard range we use is to conservation standard, ensuring that it won't fade or damage your artwork over time.
As well as giving the artwork additional space to stand out, it also provides a barrier between the artwork and the glass.
This type of framing is framing is suited to prints, original artworks on paper, or artworks that need the edging tidied up.

FLOAT MOUNTED
Float mounting is where we attach your artwork with archival adhesive hinges to the backing matboard. Spacers are used around the edges to keep the artwork from the glass.
The backing matboard is chosen to match or complement your artwork and the frame profile is chosen to suit the depth needed for the space of the Float Mount.
This type of framing is suited to artworks on paper, if your artwork is right to the edge of the paper, the edges are particularly interesting or there is fragility or transparency to your artwork.

SHADOW FLOAT MOUNTED
Shadow Float Mount is an exceptional way to frame your artwork.
We create a backing that elevates your artwork from the backing matboard to give the illusion of floating within the frame. There is a stunning shadow created around your artwork with this technique that is visually impactful.
The inside edging is created with the same matboard as the backing, chosen to match or complement your artwork, and this inner box creates a 15mm depth minimum.
This type of framing suits a wide range of artworks. We enjoy Shadow Float Mounting original works on paper, paper with deckled edges, artworks on thin canvas or a variity of materials.

CANVAS STRETCHING & TRAY FRAMING
We love stretching your artwork on canvas around a stretcher. We also love the final touch of tray framing to elevate it even further.
Stretchers are made locally and measured to fit your canvas. All artworks on canvas need at least 80mm of on each edge to stretch around a stretcher frame. We use specialty tools and techniques to create the tightest stretch possible.
Tray frames are measured to give a 5mm gap between your canvas stretcher and the frame.
The gap around your canvas artwork and tray frame creates impact and a wonderful overall effect. Tray frames also protect your artwork on canvas, can minimise any bowing of the wooden stretchers and makes for flush and easy hanging.
