About the Artist:

Nathan Ingram is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, sculpture and large-scale public art.

His practice is shaped by an interest in urban environments, architecture and the ways people experience the spaces around them. Working with colour, form, surface and scale, he creates compositions that sit between precision and disruption, often responding to the structures and environments in which they are placed.

Ingram's studio work and public projects share the same visual language, moving between intimate works and large-scale interventions. His process combines a controlled approach to composition with more spontaneous elements, allowing the work to retain a sense of movement and tension.

His background in fashion and urban contemporary art continues to influence the way he thinks about surface, construction and visual culture. Whether working on glass, aluminium, canvas or architectural surfaces, Ingram is interested in how an artwork can change the way a space is perceived and experienced.

His practice moves between the studio, public space and creative collaboration, with each context offering a different way for the work to connect with its surroundings.
