Jen Heads - Ghosted

Glass Series 1.0

540mm W x 550mm H

Mixed media on 2 layers of glass, framed in a satin white profile with spacers.

About the Artwork: The largest work in the Fight or Flight series, Ghosted reflects on the experience of loss. Within the layered glass, symbolic elements and flowing lines rise upward from the central Jen Head, while human figures appear suspended in states of transit, caught between presence and absence.

Whether evoking ambiguous loss, such as being left without explanation, or the grief of bereavement, Ghosted speaks to the lingering mental space that such events occupy. It suggests the way absence itself can take shape, haunting memory and thoughts with what is unresolved.

About the Artist: Jenna Ingram is a versatile artist who earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Canterbury University in 2007. Her creative journey has spanned various mediums and styles, including portraiture, landscapes and cityscapes. However, over the past eight years, she has dedicated her practice exclusively to urban art through her signature character, Jen Heads. This nature-inspired "mask" has undergone numerous iterations, reflecting Ingram's lived and artistic evolution. In addition to her work as an artist, Ingram has also been instrumental in managing her and her husband's business, Fiksate Gallery, further contributing to the urban contemporary art community.
