We are excited to present 'Living in a Loop', with Tāmaki, Auckland based artist, Component.

Component has been putting in long hours in his studio to produce a new body of work for a solo show here at Fiksate Gallery in Otautahi, Christchurch, the urban art capital of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

His new body of work explores themes such as identity, community dynamics, and the influence of popular culture. Component will be showcasing his signature style of stencil painting while continuing to push his medium through found or reclaimed surfaces.

"Through these works, I aim to provoke reflection, challenge perceptions, and inspire dialogue. The artwork will showcase a blend of my signature stencil style alongside experimentation with new techniques and visual elements, providing a fresh perspective on my artistic evolution."

Component's artistic vision is brought to life through an array of mediums and techniques, captivating audiences with an awe-inspiring visual tapestry. With meticulous precision, he utilises stencils to create intricate, multi-layered compositions that unravel the complexities of the human experience.

Each piece is a testament to Component's skilful craftsmanship, as he expertly manipulates colours, textures, and symbolism to convey the intricate web of cycles that entangle our everyday lives.

From the monotonous routines that confine us to the recurring patterns of societal norms, "Living in a Loop" confronts viewers with a stark reminder of the cyclical nature of existence. Component's art serves as a mirror, inviting contemplation on the choices we make, the habits we form, and the consequences they bear. Through his evocative artwork, Component urges us to break free from the confines of the repetitive patterns that shape our reality and embrace the possibility of personal growth and transformation.

By bridging the realms of street art and studio works, Component transcends the traditional boundaries of artistic expression, infusing the raw energy of the streets into the refined world of galleries and exhibitions. The juxtaposition of these worlds in "Living in a Loop" sparks a dialogue on the role of art in challenging societal conventions and encouraging individuality.

With every stroke and every stencil cut, Component invites viewers to explore their own unique narratives within the intricate tapestry of life. As viewers immerse themselves in the captivating visuals of "Living in a Loop," they find themselves confronted with the universal human experience of repetition and routine. Whether it is the mundane rituals of everyday life or the larger cycles of societal norms, Component's artwork serves as a catalyst for introspection and self-discovery.

The series acts as a reminder that while we may find comfort and familiarity in the loops we navigate, true growth and fulfilment lie beyond the boundaries of the familiar. In essence, "Living in a Loop" is not just a collection of studio works; it is an invitation to transcend the mundane and explore the uncharted territories of our own lives.

Component's artistry provides a glimpse into the beauty and complexity that resides within the ordinary. By engaging with his captivating visual representations of cycles and routines, viewers are compelled to reevaluate their own patterns of existence and embrace the transformative power of breaking free from the loop.

Through this thought-provoking series, Component ignites a spark of inspiration that encourages viewers to embrace their individuality, challenge the status quo, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.
