Fiksate Framing 1 CHIMP

Standard framing - Simple options are often the best. Clean and contemporary, they visually stand the test of time and fit into almost any space. Our standard framing is also the most affordable option. Black, white and natural ash are the three frame finishes we offer in this range. We use standard 2mm glass, but we can upgrade to anti-reflective or UV blocking glass for an additional fee.

Framed to edge - very self-explanatory, the artwork is framed around the edge, with a small clear spacer separating the artwork from touching the glass. The frame is taped up, then a wire is attached to the back for easy hanging.

Matted - Matting adds extra size and presence to the artwork. We match the closest white to the paper colour (if it is visible) or use a standard white to create an approximately 50mm border (artwork size dependent), then frame in any of our standard framing profiles. As well as giving the artwork some breathing room, it also provides a barrier between the artwork and the glass. The matboard range we use is to conservation standard, ensuring that it won't damage your artwork over time.

Float Mounted - If your artwork is right to the edge of the paper, or the edges are particularly interesting, then we would suggest floating to showcase all aspects of the artwork. We choose a background colour to suit the paper and float the work within a sized border to suit. Box frames are the only profiles available for float mounting, to create enough depth between the artwork and the glass.

Custom picture framing - We suggest making an appointment with us for a consultation if your artwork doesn't fit within any of the above standard sizes and options. Bring your artwork into the studio where we have a wide range of both pre-made and custom made frames in a variety of finishes. We can measure it up and give you a quote while you wait, or for even more custom jobs, we can email you a quote at a later time. Canvas stretching, fabric mounting, embroidery lacing, dry-mounting and art panel creation are all services we also offer in house. We can create anything to make your artwork truly unique and a stand-out piece in your home.
