M/K Press X Fiksate Risograph Print Release

Fiksate Gallery and M.K press have joined forces to collaborate on a limited-edition print series sold exclusively through Fiksate Gallery and online through the Fiksate website.

We will release a new limited edition A3 risograph print each month showcasing New Zealand’s finest Urban Artists. Each artist edition will be limited to 20 prints and sold at a price point of $80 unframed or $100 framed, offering a consistent price point for entry-level buyers and print collectors.

So, who is M/K Press? M/K Press is an independent risograph printing and publishing business run by Jane Maloney in the Fiksate Studio space. Jane has been working in Fiksate for 2 years and has produced a number of print runs, exhibition catalogs, and posters for both our residents and exhibiting artists, as well as working with other established artists such as Flox and Wayne Youle. In the recent exhibition of Robert Seikon & Anastasia Papaleonida’s ‘Long Trip Of The Kokos’, she developed an exclusive print release with them which was well received.

We thought it was about time we joined forces, so we have developed this collaborative print project to bring our customers a regular print release at an affordable price point, as well as supporting and promoting New Zealand’s amazing urban artists.

You are probably wondering what the heck is a risograph print? Risograph printing is a vibrant and economical method of producing anything from books to artist prints. It sits in a realm somewhere between a screen print and photocopy. This type of printing is an extremely adaptable print method, with outcomes ranging from gig posters, exhibition flyers, small publications to even full branding packages.
